For the Plant and Animal Unit, we will focus on the core concept of the  Biological Organization. This is the idea that cells make up tissues, which make up organs, which make up organisms. Therefore we can integrate our understanding of the parts of a system to understand the whole.   We looked at this idea in the very beginning of the semester

Plant Anatomy: from cells to tissues to organs. 

Today we are going to use our knowledge about the cell, tissues, organs to understand the function of the whole plant.   In this video I will teach  you about

• • • three different plant organs: the root, the stem and the leaf.
    • The function of these 3 organs
    • The tissues and cells that make up these organs
    • The cells that make up these tissues and organs
    • The function of these tissues and cells and how they contribute to the function of the organs.
