Overview and Instructions: Module A
Welcome to class! This learning module is all about getting you acquainted with how to use Canvas and the various tools and features of this class. Online classes require that you have regular and reliable access to a computer and the Internet. You are responsible for learning how to use the Canvas software and for accessing the class content online every week. This learning module is all about getting you off to a good start and once you complete all aspects of this module and pass the Course Agreements Assessment you will have full access to all of the course materials. You will also have thorough knolwedge of what is expected of you and how to be successful in this class.
All of the course materials for this class are organized into modules and you will complete one module each week. Each module contains a section like this one with details about the assignment for the week that typically includes a reading assignment, writing assignment, and a discussion topic for the Discussion board. You may also find articles, audio clips and videos to review as part of the assigned work. All of your written work will be submitted using links found in the respective module.
This module requires you to move through each page in order and to complete each task before moving on to the next. Some of the pages require you to check the "Mark Done" button in the upper right corner of the page. You can track your progress in all of the modules by looking for the green check marks on the far right side of the page. These check marks appear when you successfully complete what is required for the page. Take your time and carefully read each page.

- Review the How To Use Canvas and Mobile Apps page.
- Setup your notifications in Canvas to push-out Announcements and Inbox messages.
- Review how to create videos in Canvas.
- Learn how to avoid acts of plagiarism. (Check the "Mark Done" button)
- Complete the quiz about academic honesty.
- Participate in the class discussion topic for this module.
- Complete the Time Management For Success In Online Learning assessment.
- Complete the Course Agreements Assessment using the link in this learning module.
- Complete the Module A Assignment.
