Welcome to Bio 16
Approximately 7 years ago, I created this course so that students could learn basic biology in the context of current issues taking place in the world. Little did I know, how immediate and applicable the course content would become!
My goal for this semester is that you will
- learn enough biology to be able to understand the topics that affect your lives
- learn enough about the process of science to assess the scientific claims that you are bombarded with daily

Class Meetings:
- We will meet via Zoom every Thursday from 9:30-11 AM
- Lab will be in person , EITHER
- Tuesday 12-3pm
- Thursday 12-3pm
- Location: Baker 1849
Office Hours:
- I will be conducting hybrid office hours. I will be in my office for those who are on campus, but will leave the Zoom Classroom open so that you can drop in via Zoom as well.
- Same Zoom link as the classroom.
