DNA sequence: GTT GTG TGA GGA

1. Original DNA:      GTT GTG CTA GGA

  • Transcribe the original DNA into mRNA
  • Translate that mRNA  into an amino acid sequence

2. Substitution #1:   GTT GTG CTG GGA

  • Transcribe this mutated strand of DNA into mRNA
  • Translate the resulting mRNA into an amino acid sequence

3. Substitution #2:  GTT GTG  CTC GGA

  • Transcribe this mutated strand of DNA into mRNA
  • Translate the resulting mRNA into an amino acid sequence

4. Deletion:  remove the red thymine   GTT GTG  CTA GGA
