SRJC has a wonderful library and library staff. You will want to use these resources when you begin your Scientific Claim Assessment. In order to help you get up to speed.
Library Help and Support
The library has 4 different ways that you can get assistance.
- Email a Librarian
- Online chat
- Research Appointments
- Tutorials
You can find links for each of these here.
Library Tutorials
We are going to take advantage of the wonderful tutorials that the library has put together. Each tutorial is linked to a quiz on the material.
- You will need to take the quiz and submit your name and email address.
- You will receive an email from the library with your results for each quiz.
- Save those emails as a PDF and submit them for this assignment.
- Please do not forward the email to me- I'll be swamped if you do!
- Explore Smart Search
- Explore Ebsco Ebooks
- Explore Sage Knowledge
- Explore Noodletools
This last tutorial will be a big help in keeping track of the resources you use for investigating your scientific claim, especially in putting together your references. I don't care which citation system you use, but you must pick one and use it consistently and correctly.
I will be adding instructions on how to submit these assignments through the Library Web Page after I discuss this with the librarian we will be working with.
