Quiz - Chinese Radicals and Characters II

Instructions

This quiz includes 35 questions. You will need to provide the Pinyin with tones of all Chinese radicals and characters. 

Purpose

This quiz is to demonstrate your understanding of the radicals and characters. Upon completion of this quiz, you will be able to describe, identify and apply the Pinyin with tones to improve your pronunciation as well as reading skill.

Directions

You have 20 minutes to complete this quiz with only one attempt. You will not be able to repeat the quiz. 

There are two parts of this quiz: (1st tone=1; 2nd tone=2; 3rd tone=3; 4th tone=4; neutral tone=0)

Part I: Question 1-10: type Pinyin with a tone mark for each radical (ex: 人 rén or ren2)

Part II: Question 11-35: combine the radicals/components to form a character, then type Pinyin with a tone mark for each character. A list of characters is from lesson three and lesson five character list (ex: 亻+ 尔 = nǐ or ni3)
