Description
Listening to the recording of the basic radicals (textbook p.14-15) and the basic strokes (textbook p.17) to improve listening and reading skills. Then, try your best to practice writing Chinese characters.
- Listening to the recording (textbook p.14-15, 17) first before you start your own recording.
- Writing: complete the character workbook p.1-15.
- Recording: demonstrate writing 10 characters from the radical list (textbook p. 14-15)
Purpose
For this assignment, it is important to learn the basic Chinese radicals and stroke orders to build a strong foundation for learning more new Chinese words.
Directions
- Practice speaking several times until you are comfortable to record your voice for this assignment.
- Review the basic stroke orders by applying them to your writing process. For instance, you will speak aloud of each stroke in numerical order for each Chinese character. (大: yī héng, èr piě, sān nà)
- Scan the character workbook p. 1-15 using Adobe Scan App
- Upload all scanned images and submit them to complete the assignment
- Choose 10 radicals (from textbook p.14-15) and record your writing process
