LEC Exam 02 (FA25) (Mon, 27Oct25)

This exam covers chapters 7,8,10,18,19,20.

IF YOU CANNOT SEE an Image or Video, call me over or come to front and I can project it.

The first question will ask you to affirm, on your honor, that you are taking this exam on your own, receiving or giving no outside aid in the form of notes, books, or any form of communication with, or cooperation with, another person or any other outside support. You are to remain on the Canvas Quiz page throughout. You may not visit any other tabs, pages, browsers, googles, etc. Such activities (leaving the quiz page) will appear on my Quiz Activity Log.

• You may have a blank scratch paper for use during the exam. Ask me for one if you need, and pencil/pen.
• If you need to take a restroom break, please check with me and then leave, but keep it brief. ONE AT A TIME ONLY, please.
  
• When you are finished with exam, please take your laptop (and mouse, if you borrowed one) to the cart and return it to the CORRECT SLOT, plug the charging cable into the second hole, and give it an extra push to be sure it's seated. Then you are free to go.

The exam has a time limit of 1h:30m (90min, check your time with the timer at the right side of screen). Check that you have answered all required questions -- including any flagged questions -- before you submit. When you submit, your score will be out of 84 points, awaiting my manual grading of the SA and EC questions for final score.

On the Short Answer 'essay' or 'text box' questions, you do NOT need to repeat the questions, extra verbiage, or special formatting. Be concise! DO list separate questions and answer parts on a new line.

The exam has 66 Questions made up as follows:

Answer ALL of questions #1-60 (84pts), made up of MC/MD/MA and two charts as MD. Questions are grouped by type, with spacer notices before each group.

Then answer #61 in a text box on genetic code, and #62 (2 questions chosen from the 4 offered). You do NOT need to repeat the question or use complete sentences. Be concise! BE SURE TO LABEL THE QUESTIONS CLEARLY and START NEW Questions and any NEW PARTS (A,B,C, etc.) on a NEW LINE (to ease my grading). Answer ONLY TWO of the four questions! If you answer more than two, i will grade only the first two.

Then answer the four extra credit questions, #63,64,65,66 (4pts).

When you submit your exam, Canvas will report your score only for the MC/MD/MA questions (84pts). I must grade the texts box questions (18pts)  and extra credit (4pts) manually, after which your score will be complete.
