Caution - Actual Exam!

Overview - Psychology 03 - Online Exam #3, like all the other online exams, is a restricted "time stamp" exam. By this it is meant that each exam is unlocked at a certain time and must be completed at the website and sent back within a certain timeframe--this is the "time stamp." The exam is then locked again. Once you take an online exam and press the "submit" button, your exam will automatically be graded and the results sent to your instructor. Once the exam is over, you will be able to review results in the gradebook at such time as designated by your professor. After submitting you exam check the gradebook to be sure a "checkmark" is showing. This will serve as proof that the exam has arrived.

Though all the exams are open book, you will not succeed in completing the actual online exams successfully if you have not completed the assigned readings--this is just a simple fact!

This exam is comprised of 50 questions based on information gathered entirely from your textbook readings in Hyde & Delamater.  Each is worth 2 points each. Questions are in multiple-choice and/or True or False format and vary for each student, as they are pulled randomly from a larger pool of 100 questions. Additionally each question itself and all question choices are randomly placed within each unique exam.

Important Notice and Warning!

1. Each exam is worth 100 points.

2. Please check your schedule for exams days. It is your responsibility to be aware of when exams occur. For various reasons they may not be announced in advance.

3. Each exam opens at 12:01 AM on exam day and closes at midnight on exam day. You may use any two-hour block during an exam day to complete your exam. Exams received after this timeframe will be considered not taken. Students who take more than two hours will be duly penalized. The Canvas LMS keeps very good notes regarding student IP use, exam use, and website use, so please follow exam guidelines precisely!

4. Be sure to read the instructions carefully that accompany each exam prior to beginning. Students must take four out of five exams. If a student takes all five exams, they may have the lowest exam dropped. Be sure to take the practice exams. In the past, students have remarked that they felt that the practice exams were one of the more helpful features of this course.

5. WARNING - RULES OF INTEGRITY- PERCEPTIONS OF CHEATING - Please be careful NOT to open and close exams or send multiple versions of an assigned exam. To do so may well be construed to mean you have attempted to circumvent the integrity of the exam process --- that is, to cheat. In such circumstances, at minimum, your exam will be marked down or disqualified. At maximum, your name may be submitted to the Dean of Students for suspicion of cheating. If for any reason you accidentally open and close an exam or submit a "false" exam [a second one] you must notify me immediately by email and explain the circumstances for your submission of multiple exams. Failure to bring to my attention exam irregularities in a timely fashion will result in the exam not being used at minimum. What is of particular concern are those few students who open an exam on exam day and then close it AND then open it again later in the day to actually take it and submit it. The appearance is you have opened it to download a copy, study from it, and then later go and take the actual exam. So be aware and forewarned.

6. Exam Directions - For each question choose that answer that in your mind is the best choice. Read each question carefully and remember to be certain before changing your answer. Good Luck!
