Waveform Editor- Two Approaches, Waveform and Spectral Frequency Display. Waveform: Allows for cutting/pasting/amplitude
Spectral Frequency: Allows for cleaning up Audio- Noise reduction and audio cleanup techniques include the use of effects such as the Click/Pop Eliminator, visually fading and changing amplitude, identifying noises visually with the Spectral Frequency Analyzer to edit out unwanted frequencies such as cell phones, and more.

Effects controls- Audition has many effects presets and controls that enable you to customize sounds. The Effects Rack lets you insert, edit, and reorder up to 16 effects, optimize mix levels, and store favorite presets. Most rack controls appear in both the Waveform and Multitrack editors.

Multitrack Editing- In the Multitrack Editor, you can mix together multiple audio tracks to create layered soundtracks and elaborate musical compositions. You can record and mix unlimited tracks, and each track can contain as many clips as you need—the only limits are hard disk space and processing power. When you’re happy with a mix, you can export a mixdown file for use on CD, the web, and more.

Sending a sequence from Premiere Pro to Audition- Adobe Audition lets you edit directly from Premiere Pro. When you right-click on an audio track in Premiere Pro and choose Edit in Audition, the audio renders into a new clip that is imported into Adobe Audition. When saved the clip is saved in Audition, the edited clip replaces the original clip in the Premiere Pro Timeline panel. The original master clip in the Project panel is untouched. Effects or markers applied to the original sequence clip are preserved in the edited clip.

Saving your multitrack session to different formats- Although Audition allows you to save your files in many different formats, in most cases, you should save uncompressed audio to the AIFF or WAV formats. Save to the compressed mp3 format only when creating files for the web or portable media players.

Export multitrack mixdown files- After you finish mixing a session, you can export all or part of it in a variety of common formats. When you export, the resulting file reflects current volume, pan, and effects settings routed to the Master track. To quickly mix the entire audio down to a single track, use the choose File > Export > Multitrack Mixdown> Entire Session.
