Fill in the Site Name as Intro to Digital Media- Your Name.
For Local Site Folder, click the browse for folder icon to the right of the text field and point to the website folder you created on your Flash drive or your desktop.
Export/Import Site Definitions
Select Site> Manage Sites> and click on the Export icon near the bottom left corner of the Manage Sites window.
With the Back up my settings button selected, click OK and save your settings to your site’s local root folder. This will create a small text file with all your settings.
Take Action and Set up your account on Cloud9
Activate your free account with Cloud9 by clicking on the link found in your invitation email fromhttps://c9.io/
Click Create new account
Type inYour Name and click the Next button
Choose a username. for this class just use your name again (no spaces)
Where it says what kind of developer are you, choose Student
Where it says, How will you use Cloud9, choose Coursework and click Next
Click Confirm your details and click Next
Click You are not a Robot
Click Join Team
NOTE: If you get a message that you cannot be added to the team because it cannot have more than 50 members, click on the Dashboard button on the top right side of the page. You can still set up your Workspace.
Click on the + sign where it says Create a New Workspace. Name the Workspace name and Descriptionyourname (lowercase, no spaces)
Click the Public button and choose the "HTML5" project template.
Click the green Create workspace button
Once the workspace has been created you will see a readme file amd a hello-world.html file
Upload the web pages provided for you
Open a web browser and type in the name of your workspace. It will start with https://ide.c9.io/yourname
Drag your website folder from your desktop or flash drive onto the Root Folder in the left-hand panel of the webpage in your workspace
Right-click on index.html in that panel and choose Preview
Click on the icon in the top right corner of the page to the right of the web browser. This will make your webpage pop out into a new browser tab
Select and copy the URL in the address bar
Attach link to this page
Click the Submit Assignment button at the top of this page.
Paste the URL into the Website URL text field.
Click the Submit Assignment button.
