Edit your speech by cutting unnecessary parts using the Razor tool
Import and modify an existing lower third. Premiere Pro 2018 Instructions:
Select Window> Essential Graphics
Browse Lower Thirds and drag the one you like to Video Track 3 in the timeline
Select the text tool in the timeline
Click and drag through the lower third default text, select the text tool and update it with your information
OR create your own lower third.
File> New Legacy Title> Name the Title
NOTE: You can also create one from the Window> Essential Graphics folder
Use the rectangle tool to draw a rectangle from the left edge to the right edge of the larger title area
Change the fill to a gradient
Double click one of the color stops to change from default white to create the gradient
Adjust the opacity as desired
Create a text field on top that includes your name and field of digital media
Add your visuals that accompany what you are talking about in your speech
Place ambient background audio on the timeline and adjust the length to fit the rest of the timeline content. Use Exponential Fade for beginning and end. NOTE: Make sure the volume of the background audio is VERY low compared to the speaking voice!
Create smooth transitions between all scenes and visuals (use Video Transition Effects)
Add ending rolling credits making sure to set the Roll/Crawl options to Timing> Start Off Screen and set the Postroll to between 00:01:15 and 00:03:00
Save the file as lastname_class13.mp4
Select> Export> Media
In the Export Settings Dialog box select Format: H.264, Output: Medium Bitrate
In the Output Name field, click on the underlined text and make sure it saves your movie as lastname_class13.mp4 into the resume folder.
Click on the Submit Assignment Button at the top of the Assignment page.
Choose lastname_class13.mp4 file and click the Submit Assignment button.
