Homework # 4:
Due March 17 at 11:59 pm. Chapter 6: Ancient Persia. Follow the homework guidelines and examples and complete the following assignment:
I. Answer the following questions, each answer needs to be about a paragraph long:

Where do we get most of the history about the Persian Empire? Why is this problematic?

Explain how the principles of government of Cyrus the Great created a sense of unity ad stability in the growing Persian Empire?

What were some of the major ideas that the Persian Empire inherited from earlier Mesopotamian cultures? How did these ideas contribute to efficient and stable administration?

What was distinctive about Zoroastrianism? In what ways did it differ from Hinduism and Buddhism?

Why were Persia and Greece frequently at war? Why did the Persians eventually fail to defeat the Greeks?
