Week 2 To-Do List and Overview

This week we are trying to generate ideas and a plan for the Bachmann Essay.

Goals

If we're successful in this module, you will:

• Debate the various sides of the Bachmann case, and find and generate specific evidence and reasoning to support an argument about who is at fault.
• Know how to get your essay into MLA format.
• Understand how to incorporate and introduce sources properly into an academic essay.
• Understand some best-practices for writing a working thesis.
• Write an outline of your Bachmann Essay.

To reach the goals for this module, you'll need to complete the following activities:

6/28	Join a Debate Group
6/30	Generate idea for the debate by filling out a section of the Bachmann Debate Worksheet.
7/3	Debate with your group members about who is responsible for Bachmann's downfall
	Look at a sample of an essay formatted according to MLA style, and watch my videos that help you create MLA format in Google Docs
7/3	Complete the "Working with Sources" assignment.
7/3	Read about how to generate a strong working thesis statement, and then complete an outline of the Bachmann essay.
