This week, we are trying to get prepared for the Rhetorical Analysis Essay. Read all of the documents this week, and let me know if you have any questions in the "Rhetorical Analysis Ideas" discussion.
Goals
If we're successful this week, you will:
- Understand the objectives and requirements of the rhetorical analysis essay.
- Read the articles that you can choose from for the Rhetorical Analysis Essay (you'll analyze one article in that essay).
- Begin generating ideas for your Rhetorical Analysis Essay.

2. Read the overview of the Dakota Access Pipeline controversy (sometimes called the Standing Rock protests), and read all 4 of the argumentative articles about the controversy. All of these articles are linked to on the "Rhetorical Analysis Texts: The Dakota Access Pipeline Protests" page. | |
