Week 12 Overview and Goals
This week we continue reading Coates and turn in the Rough Draft of the Community Problem Project. I really enjoyed reading your responses to Coates last week, and this week I've brought in a talk put on by SRJC about Between the World and Me to help you understand the historical context of the book. We'll also continue to compile quotes in the "Quotes Bank."
Goals
If we're successful in this module, you will:
- Evaluate and understand how professional authors incorporate interviews into their writing.
- Get a sense of how post-Civil Rights activism influences Coates' thinking in Between the World and Me
- Begin to track some of Coates' major themes and lessons in the book.
