Coates Reading Assignment—pp 14-64

Reading Assignment for Between the World and Me: pp 14-64.

This week you are reading a relatively large section of the book--about 50 pages.  Take your time.  Break the reading up into manageable chunks.

Also, your objective should be to begin determining which themes or lessons you might want to write about in your essay.  Keep that in mind as you read, and annotate and take notes accordingly.  

Read the first section (pp 14-64), and, as usual, use active reading strategies (the steps for this are posted in week 11).
