Week 9 Overview and Goals

This week is made up mainly of a series of resources that I hope will be helpful in the stages of planning, drafting, and polishing the Final Conclusion before it's due at the end of the week.

Other than that, the only other requirements this week are to attend the conference with me about your Annotated Bibliography, and to clean up your group's Voter Guide google doc.  We want each group's Google Doc to be clearly organized so that everyone in the group can use the sources collected there.  But we also want it to be organized so that other class members can use the Voter Guide as they think about voting on November 8th.

Goals

If we're successful in this module, you will:

  • Attend your conference with me, discuss the progress of your Community Problem Project research so far, and get a clearer sense of your goals for the Community Problem Project.
  • Check in on your Voter Guide group's Google doc.  Make sure the research summaries that you have posted so far (Informative and In-Depth) are clearly labeled and organized.  We're cleanin' house this week people!
  • Considering using some electronic organizers as you begin to plan your Final Conclusion for the Voter Guide Project.
  • Consider getting extra feedback on your Final Conclusion at the Writing Center or in a meeting with me.
  • Polish your Final Conclusion, and use this week's resources to check your MLA format.
  • Turn in the Final Conclusion both as an assignment and to your Voter Guide group's Google Doc.
