Week 5 Overview and Goals-3

As you can see, there are fewer activities this week.  This is because we are moving into the portion of the course where much of your time will be spent writing, researching, and revising.   

Goals

If we're successful in this module, you will:

  • Have a clearer understanding of your objectives in the Community Problem Project after your conference with me
  • Understand the steps in the Voter Guide Project
  • Understand how to incorporate interviews and other primary data into your essay
  • Complete a draft of the Community Problem Project
  • Give other students productive feedback in the Peer Review
  • Begin research for the Voter Guide Project

To reach the goals for this module, you'll need to complete the following activities:

7/21 Integration of Evidence Quiz: Analyze how a professional author incorporates interviews and other evidence.
7/25 Turn in a 4-page rough draft of the Community Problem Project
7/25 Submit your Informative Research assignment for the Voter Guide Project
7/27 Complete peer reviews of 2 other students' drafts
