Goals

If we're successful in this module, you'll be able to:

  • Understand what plagiarism is and how to avoid it.
  • How to use paraphrase and summary effectively
  • Understand the purpose of citation.
  • Use MLA formatting and citation style properly.
  • Turn in the Rhetorical Analysis Essay with proper MLA formatting.
  • Understand the Annotated Bibliography and begin using the Library's research tools to prepare for it.
  • Begin thinking about the kind of primary research you'd like to incorporate into the Community Problem Project.

Schedule

To reach the goals for this module, you'll need to complete the following activities:

1. Read through and watch all of the resources on Plagiarism, Summary, Paraphrase, MLA format, and MLA citation.
7/13 2. Turn in the Rhetorical Analysis Essay
3. Read the Annotated Bibliography Assignment.
7/11 4. Take the library's tutorials and send the results of the quizzes to me.
7/11 5. Participate in the Primary Research Discussion.
