Text Description of Dove Evolution Commercial

Below is a text-description of the Dove Evolution for students who might be visually impaired.

The commercial shows a time-lapse video of a model being made up for a photo-shoot.  The model walks in, sits down and the video moves to a close-up of her face.  Then her make-up is done and gradually most imperfections in her skin disappear.  Her lips, eyes and eyebrows are enhanced by the make-up.  Finally, her hair is curled.  Next, the video shows a photo-shoot, still showing only a close-up of the model's face, with the model taking various poses.  Then, the screen changes to show that a photo from the photo-shoot is being edited in photoshop.  In photoshop, the model’s neck is elongated, her eyes are moved down in her fore-head and then enlarged, her collar-bone is thinned, and her hair is filled in to look thicker.  Finally, the photoshop icons disappear to indicate that the editing is finished, and the video backs up to show that the final image of the model is on a billboard on a street.  Then the video changes to a blank screen with the words, “No wonder our perception of beauty is distorted.”  The next screen says, “Take part in the Dove Real Beauty Workshops for Girls.  Visit campaignforrealbeauty.ca”  Finally, the screen shows the Dove brand logo, with the words “Dove Self-Esteem Fund.”
