Thank you for choosing the exciting and rewarding career of HVAC/R. Please read the syllabus for pertinent information and important dates. We will be using Interplay Learning for interactive lab activities which will be accessed through Canvas. After reading the syllabus, click on "Assignments" and find the menu to "Show By Type" to see all required assignments which earn points and affect your grade. Please note that assignments are grouped by week. Please work sequentially through each week as the modules are grouped and themed accordingly.

I will be posting announcements regularly which you can access through Canvas, however, they are also delivered to your campus email. You can change your email in Canvas to receive announcement notification directly to your preferred email such as yahoo, gmail, icloud, etc. To add a new email address, click on "account' from the global menu <notifications>"+ Email Address".

Interplay Course Work:

The Interplay Learning System which we use to do 95% of our learning in this course is best viewed on a Laptop or Desktop computer screen and device. Second best would be a large screen tablet.

Pop-Up Windows:

Make sure your computer allows "pop up" windows since when you click on an assignment, a new window will "pop up" which you will not see if the blocker is enabled.

Office Hours:

Please schedule a time with me... To do so, please click on "TechConnect Zoom" from the dropdown menu and then click on "Appointments" once the page loads. You should be able to select a window of time to have a 30 minute window.

Please feel free to reach out to meet to discuss everything from coursework to career path. This is an introductory class that is getting you in front of lots of new ideas and I'm sure you have some questions. You are not bothering me by scheduling an appointment. It's part of my job here at the SRJC.

Exclusions;

This class requires regular engagement, you must log in regularly and be actively engaged or you may be excluded. Please complete at least one Discussion topic during the first week to avoid being excluded at the census date.
